It all started with a dog. Candice took Ceramics classes in New York and continued after moving to Atlanta. She and a friend took classes at Callanwolde around the same time that a new love came into Candice's life. After adopting her Corgi, Tucker, she began making food and water bowls for him. Soon, friends started asking Candice to make bowls for their dogs! The rest, as they say, is history.
"So, whether it’s a really cute bowl, a personalized treat jar, or just something to hold their brushes… it helps us to give back to the animals that do so much for us. Our pets expect so little from us…and yet they give so much to us every day."
Today, Candice has a full studio in her home devoted to creating her work with Corgis Tucker and Earl by her side. Using a variety of stamps and glazes, 4 Paws Pottery's offerings now include cat and dog bowls, treat jars, ornaments and more.
The Spruill Gallery is happy to have 4 Paws Pottery featured in the 2014 Holiday Artists Market and year-round in the Gift Shop. We think they're a perfect present for your four-legged best friend!
